Although the Leflaive family has been rooted in winemaking for centuries, Olivier Leflaive set out to create his own identity and vision, focusing on producing wines that express the unique characteristics of each vineyard and appellation. The winery’s philosophy revolves around the careful selection of grapes from top vineyard sites, both from family-owned plots and trusted growers across Burgundy.
Olivier Leflaive controls approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, with some of the finest sites located in renowned appellations like Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Meursault. While white Burgundy, particularly Chardonnay, is the star of Olivier Leflaive’s portfolio, the winery also produces excellent Pinot Noir, offering both red and white wines that are highly regarded for their precision, elegance, and depth.
