Tasting Notes
A classic Nebbiolo nose featuring wild berry, rose petals, dried lilac, and a subtle, earthy hint of white truffle.
Floral aromas and lifted palate with vivid red fruit lead the expression. It offers a fine texture, grippy yet well-integrated savory tannins, and a long, clean, saline finish.
Open-knit, gracious, and harmonious in style, showing the approachability and elegance typical of this celebrated Cannubi plot.
Background
Chiara Boschis is widely regarded as one of the pioneering women of Barolo, although her family boasts a remarkable nine-generation history of winemaking. In 1980, the Boschis family, owners of Giacomo Borgogno e Figli, acquired the historic E. Pira & Figli estate, securing some of the most prestigious vineyards in Barolo. After graduating with a degree in Economics, Chiara joined the family business full-time, driven by her deep passion for wine. She officially took the helm of E. Pira & Figli in 1990 and quickly established herself as the “Barolo Girl.” Her combination of dedication, patience, charm and determination played a pivotal role in elevating both the quality and reputation of the estate, helping E. Pira & Figli achieve the distinguished standing it enjoys today.
