Gros Morey-Saint-Denis 2019 has a restrained, cool and exceptionally pretty nose that reluctantly reveals its aromas of red and dark pinot fruit, violet and distinct earth nuances.There is fine volume but very good detail too to the attractively textured, dusty, youthfully austere and stony finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth.

Domaine AF GROS is a farm located in Burgundy, in Pommard, which was founded by Anne-Françoise GROS.

François PARENT, originally from Pommard, is Anne-Françoise’s husband. He has been the winemaker of the Domaine’s wines since its creation. His know-how and reputation are recognized worldwide and his wines are a perfect expression of Pinot Noir, a unique combination of elegance and depth. Today, two of their three children work on the Domaine, Caroline and Mathias. The brother and sister share the winemaking, and the other the management, development and marketing of the Domaine’s wines.

Viniculture

Domaine Anne-Françoise Gros began in 1988 and has grown steadily since, acquiring parcels of vines in some of the best vineyards across the Cote d’Or. Focussing on an elegant approach to Burgundy, the wines are soft yet nobly structured; representing exceptional quality across the board with particular reference to the appellations of Pommard, Vosne-Romaee and Chambolle-Musigny.

Anne-Françoise Gros owns a mere 0.6 ha of vines in Richebourg, located adjacent to one of the Richebourg plots belonging to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in the north-east corner of the vineyard.
