Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, inspired by Bordeaux wines, sought to introduce a new winemaking paradigm to Italy. With a clear vision and commitment to quality, he planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines in Bolgheri’s rocky soils. This decision would forever change Italian wine culture.
